Q: What are OLT ONU and ONT ? What role does it play ?
A: OLT : Optical line terminal , is a terminal device used to connect Optical Fiber trunk lines. The function is that in the EPON system, the OLT is not only a switch or Router, but also a multi-service providing platform . It provides optical fiber intrfaces for passive optical networks. IN addition to supporting traditional voice , ordinary telephone lines and other types of T1 / E1 interfaces, it also supports SONET connections at ATM and FR rates.

E8604T-ATG is designed for chassis Olt Device which provides 4 port OLT downlink 1000M PON ports, 8 uplink GE ports ,4 uplink 10GE ports by GL-COM. The height is only 1U for easy installation and space saving. Each PON supports up to 64 terminals, the whole device supports up to 256/512 ONUs under full configuration. E8604T-ATG adopts advanced technology to support SLA and DBA to keep strong function on the Ethernet and QoS features. E8604T-ATG is applied for commercial and grid network digital management to provide perfect, smart, strong, advanced, professional solutions for “automatic distribution” and “electricity information collection” in the implemented project for the national grid.
