Q: What Application of Epon Olt ?
A:OLT (Optical Line Terminal)-optical line terminal; ONU (Optical Network Unit)-optical network unit; ONT (Optical Network Terminal)-optical network terminal;
A network connected between the central office equipment (OLT) and multiple user equipment (ONU/ONT) through an optical distribution network (ODN) composed of passive optical cables, optical splitters/combiners, etc.
ONU and ONT are both user-side equipment, and there is no difference in essence, but if you have to distinguish it, you can see the difference from the name: ONT is an optical network terminal, applied to the end user, and ONU refers to the optical network unit, which is different from the end user. There may be other networks in between. To give a simple example, for example, in a cell, the ONT is a device directly placed in the user's home, while the ONU may be placed in the corridor, and each user is connected to the ONU through devices such as switches.
