GL-E8024U-P is equipped with POE Function, so what are the advantages of using ONU with POE function? The function of the POE is the Power Supply function, so there is no need for an additional cable to supply power, which provides convenience for users. The biggest difference between an ordinary ONU and a POE-ONU is that the ordinary model can only be used as an optical network unit to provide data transmission. However, the POE-ONU can not only transmit data, but also supply power to the devices connected to the POE through the Poe Port connection. The wiring is simple, and the cost of operation and maintenance is reduced.
Boost office efficiency and reduce network congestion with a total switching capacity of 8.8Gbps. LED indicators display device status for easy power management and troubleshooting. An internal power supply reduces clutter and delivers 15.4 Watts/30Watts to each PoE port. A convenient on/off button is located on the back of the switch. Non-PoE devices can connect to the switch—auto-sensing PoE technology cuts power to non-PoE connected devices. Use PoE Splitter with the GL-2024SP to install non-PoE devices in remote locations.
